AI Coding Agent Scorecard
An interactive tool that helps developers compare AI coding agents against the criteria that matter for their own workflow.
- Next.js
- React
- TypeScript
- Tailwind CSS

A free, interactive scorecard built and published by VentureLore for comparing two AI coding agents on the same real repository task. Instead of ranking tools in the abstract, it turns a hands-on trial into a weighted score you can discuss with your team.
How it works
You give both agents the same task in the same repository, then score each one from 0 to 5 on six criteria: repository context (20%), correctness (25%), verification (20%), review quality (15%), safety and control (10%) and workflow fit (10%). The page combines the scores into a weighted result out of 100 and lets you copy a plain-text summary of the comparison. The criteria and their weights are fixed so that two people scoring the same trial use the same yardstick.
Why we built it
Tool comparisons age quickly, and a feature list says little about how an agent behaves in your codebase. The scorecard is paired with a step-by-step method (identical branches, identical prompt and permissions, identical checks) and with our guides to choosing an AI coding tool. It is a free tool; it does not record your scores on a server.
The challenge
Comparison articles go stale quickly and say little about how an agent behaves on your own repository and task.
The solution
An interactive scorecard with six weighted criteria, 0 to 5 scoring for two tools and a copyable summary, plus a written method for running a fair comparison. Built as part of the VentureLore platform.
Key features
- Six weighted criteria totalling 100%
- Side-by-side scoring of two tools from 0 to 5
- Weighted result out of 100
- Copyable plain-text summary
- Step-by-step method for a fair comparison
- Works in the browser with no sign-up
